756 - Barry Bonds: The new home run king.
8:51 pm, August 8, 2007 versus Washington Nationals. It was the fifth inning with a full count facing pitcher Mike Bacsik, Jr. With a swing of his two-tone colored bat Barry Bonds became the all-time home run leader in baseball history with 756 career home runs. An amazing milestone. Unfortunately I wasn't there to witness it in person, but I was watching it in HD at home. It was a nice touch for Hank Aaron to send a message to Barry on the big screen. That just solidifies Barry's mark on the game. He is definitely the best player I have ever seen, and probably the best player of this generation. I am lucky to say that I've seen him play.
